Royal Marine Commandos raise the flag
at Government House, Port Stanley, 1982.

This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the Falklands Campaign and to mark this occasion, Andover Royal British Legion held a Drumhead Service on Sunday 1st July 2007.

The service was held at St Mary's Church, Church Close, Andover commencing at 1140 hrs. Arrangements were similar to the Remembrance Day Service but without the march past.

The Mayor of Test Valley and other civil dignitaries were present and the Vicar of St. Mary's Church conducted the service.

After the parade, all participants, serving and retired servicemen, and their families joined us at the Royal British Legion Club in Osbourne Road for a curry lunch and refreshments.
